⚽ Hull City stay for Everton striker Niasse could depend on survival ⚽

Oumar Niasse says any possible move to Hull City is likely to depend on the club’s relegation battle.

The Senegalese striker has impressed since joining the Tigers on loan from Everton in January.

Niasse came off the bench to score a brace in Saturday’s crucial 2-1 victory over Swansea City which saw the team move up to 18th on the Premier League table.

Asked whether he could join Hull permanently, Niasse certainly did not close the door but indicated that the relegation fight was more important at this point in time.

“It’s going to depend on my performances,” said Niasse.

“But I think now the focus is to play the good football, to try to help the club stay in the league.

“It was a difficult time at Everton. I was like standing in the dressing room with the U23s playing with them, travelling with them all the time.

“It was difficult, but I always kept smiling and always kept a positive mind to start again.

“But it’s also a little bit complicated because of the position of [Hull], but we have to enjoy the football.

“If we enjoy the football, the rest can come. We have had luck [against Swansea], but the positive thoughts we have are going to make us happy and feel like we can win some points.”

Niasse now has four goals in 10 appearances in all competitions for Hull.
